The CDA Program is licensed under the Dental Board of California to be a continuing Education Provider under CE CERTIFIEDD. The Dental Board of California represents formal recognition of the high quality of services and care.
The CDA Program partners with accredited certification agencies and Board Approved Course Providers, such as OC Dental Academy, California Dental Educators, EFDAA Services,
These certificates enable our students to secure full-time jobs as Dental Assistants (DA).
Our program delivers a legitimate, high-quality education to our students. Our students pass rate on certification exams are stupendous, and we only work with the leading accredited certification agencies and Dental Board of California Board Approved Providers.

Institutional Accreditation vs. Programmatic Accreditation
There are two types of accreditation schools receive: institutional and programmatic.
Institutional accreditation applies to the entire school, ensuring it meets overall standards of quality and integrity. Programmatic accreditation focuses on specific programs or courses within the school, verifying that they meet industry-specific standards.
The CDA Programs Institutional Accreditation
The CDA Program does not currently hold institutional accreditation. However, we are starting the accreditation process with a Department of Education-approved accreditation agency.
Our partnership with accredited certification agencies ensures that students who pass their national exam and complete their clinical requirements can enable them to secure full-time jobs as Dental Assistants (DA).

The Dental Assistant Program
Our Dental Assistant Program at The CDA Program is not accredited, though we are affiliated with a number of Dental Assistant Programs, which are accredited institutions. The CDA Program students can finish the program and work in California as a Dental Assistants (Da)

REGISTERED CE PROVIDER
Our Dental Assistant Program does include our board approved continuing education courses, authorized by the Dental Board of California independent from the California Dental Assistant Program.
The California Dental Assistant Program students can apply to become Registered Dental Assistants. After completing our program and following the official state requirements.
How California Dental Assistant Program Students Can Become Registered Dental Assistants (RDA)
Students enrolled in the California Dental Assistant Program have the opportunity to apply to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in California after completing our program and following the official state requirements.
RDA Pathway for California Dental Assistant Program Students
To qualify for RDA licensure in California through the Alternative Dental Assisting Program (ADAP), students must:
1. Complete an Alternative Dental Assisting Program
As part of your training, you’ll complete the requirements required by the Dental Board of California. The California Dental Board will get you ready to meet the state requirements for Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensure.
2. Submit Required Documentation
3. Finish Board-Approved Courses
- Radiation Safety
- Coronal Polishing
- Pit and Fissure Sealants
- Infection Control
- California Dental Practice Act
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
As part of your training, you’ll complete several courses that are required by the Dental Board of California. We provide these through board-approved providers, ensuring you meet the state requirements for Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensure.
