2-Hour Infection Control

Licensed dental professionals in California must complete at least 2 hours of infection control education every 2 years to renew their license. This course covers current infection control practices based on CDC and OSHA guidelines.

You receive a certificate of completion when you finish, so you can document your renewal requirement.

• Demonstrate effective infection control in the workplace
• Protect patients from exposure to infectious diseases
• Understand infectious diseases and how they spread
• Use universal and standard precautions to limit infection risk
• Understand the Hepatitis B virus and why vaccination matters
• Use proper protective equipment and barrier protection
• Follow legal and ethical sterilization and disinfection techniques
• Properly discard sharps and biohazardous materials
